The Strait Biennial returns in 2024 with a rich programme that will run from 18 September to 14 December, with a series of events in different locations between Campo Calabro, Reggio Calabria and Messina. This year's edition, entitled ‘The Three Water Lines, The Cities of the Future’, will focus on architecture, landscape and art, exploring themes of sustainability and urban regeneration.
One of the main stops will be in Badolato, where ‘Respiraterra’, an event dedicated to the integration of art and nature, will be held on 5 and 6 October. The Badolato session will include a series of meetings and guided tours that will take place at Badolato Marina and the historic village. The inauguration is set for 5 October at 1 pm with a welcome by Pasquale Piroso, curator of the event. The topics covered will range from the recovery of territorial ecosystems through cultural planning, with the participation of artists and directors of the Biennial, to the discussion on art as a lever of growth for the territory. The day will end with a buffet dinner and a musical event with the group Centu Strati.
On 6 October, the focus will shift to Badolato Borgo, with an artistic itinerary that will include a visit to the photographic exhibition ‘Rughe’ (Wrinkles) and to the atelier of artist Roberto Giglio.
