SuperScienceMe | Experiment in the Ward

On 23 September 2025, Experiment in the Ward returns, an initiative that brings the magic of scientific research directly to paediatric wards. Ahead of European Researchers' Night, the University of Calabria is bringing forward its most engaging activities to reach children and young people who are unable to visit the university on the day of the big event.

At the Paediatric Ward of the Spoke Hospital in Castrovillari, Unical researchers and operators will meet young patients to transform the wards into a real laboratory of curiosity and wonder. Educational games, interactive experiments and scientific demonstrations become tools for knowledge and entertainment, creating moments of joy and shared learning.

For almost ten years, this project has been showcasing the more human and inclusive side of science, bringing people together and bringing smiles even in places of care.
