Spring Rituals

On Saturday 22 March 2025, the National Archaeological Park of Sybaris celebrates the arrival of spring with a special event: an extraordinary night-time opening of the archaeological deposits of the Museum of the Sibaritide.

Two rounds of guided tours, at 19:30 and 21:00, will allow visitors to discover hidden treasures, precious artefacts linked to the return of spring and the myth of the Mother Goddess and Persephone, symbols of rebirth and the cyclical nature. The archaeologists will take the public on a fascinating journey through history and legend, revealing objects that have never been exhibited before. At the end of the visit, it will be possible to taste typical local products at the zero-kilometre refreshment point set up for the occasion: cruschi peppers from Pollino, craft beers and Calabrian DOC wine.
