On Saturday 6 December 2025, at 6 p.m., Palazzo Sant'Anna in Gerace will host the second edition of the Notable Encounters Award, an event dedicated to culture, music and cinema. The star of the show will be Ornella Muti, an icon of Italian and international cinema, who will enrich the evening with her presence and timeless charm.
The event will focus on the presentation of the book "The Legend of the Gypsies", edited by Pietro Cremona and Domenico Cavallo. The work recounts the journey of a nomadic convoy through Locride, between Gerace, Locri, Siderno, Canolo and Agnana, with photographs by Cavallo and musical accompaniment by singer-songwriter Bruno Panuzzo. The text, embellished with a preface by Francesca Lopresti, lecturer and Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Siderno, celebrates the beauty of Calabria and the stories of generations who have passed through this land.
The evening will feature conversations with Ornella Muti and the authors, live musical performances and the screening of a video dedicated to the actress, created by the young people of the 'Rainbow' group from Prestarona, as well as the awarding of prizes to personalities who have contributed to creating those 'remarkable encounters' that inspire the event.
