St. Valentine International Prize

From 22 to 26 April 2026, Belvedere Marittimo will host the second edition of the San Valentino International Prize, a prestigious music competition dedicated to young talents, organised by the Accademia dell'Ancia in collaboration with the Municipality of Belvedere Marittimo.

The award takes its name from Saint Valentine, patron saint of lovers, whose relics are kept in the charming Convent of the Capuchin Friars Minor in Belvedere Marittimo, a symbolic place that links music, spirituality and the identity of the territory.

The competition was created with the aim of promoting and enhancing musical talent, offering participants the opportunity to perform in auditions and fair competitions, compare themselves with other young musicians and be evaluated by experts in the field. At the same time, the initiative contributes to the dissemination of musical culture and the promotion of tourism in the city.

The programme will open on Wednesday 22 April with the inaugural concert, scheduled to take place at the Convent of the Capuchin Friars Minor in Belvedere Marittimo. In the following days, from 23 to 26 April 2026, the auditions will take place in person, hosted at the Hotel Belvedere Club Village.

Throughout the event, there will also be concerts, masterclasses and artistic training workshops, designed to encourage the educational growth of participants and dialogue between music, the local area and the public.
