Nel Blu – Avere tra le braccia tanta felicità (In Blue – Holding so much happiness in your arms) is a show by and starring Mario Perrotta that recounts the life and art of Domenico Modugno, intensely capturing the emotional power and poetry of his music.
Through an intimate and measured narrative, the show retraces the human and artistic story of Modugno, an artist capable of embodying the spirit of a country that, between the late 1950s and the beginning of the economic boom, looked to the future with confidence. The narrative highlights the deep connection between his southern origins, his desire for artistic success, and the expressive power of a voice that was able to speak to an international audience, transforming music into a universal language.
The musicians on stage accompany the story like a second voice, complementing the words and recreating the emotional climate of an era and the personal journey of an artist aware of the fragility, but also the necessity, of singing about happiness.
