On Sunday 13 October 2024, Gambarie d'Aspromonte invites you to discover the magic of autumn with the traditional Mushroom Festival, now in its 33rd edition.
The day will be packed with events for young and old, with the chance to immerse yourself in the local gastronomic culture and get to know the mycological wonders of Aspromonte up close. Starting at 9.30 am, the exhibition stands will open their doors, offering a wide variety of typical products and mushroom dishes, cooked in full respect of local traditions.
Programme of the day:
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.: Mycological exhibition organised by the ‘Gambarie Attiva Committee’, with the participation of mycologist Domenico ‘Mimmo’ Porcino.
12:30 p.m.: Tasting of typical mushroom dishes.
10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.: Children's entertainment with mascots, games, dancing and make-up by Domi Mascotte.
2.30 p.m.: Musical entertainment with the touring group ‘Tarantella No Stop’, to fully experience the traditional Calabrian sounds and rhythms.
During the day, it will be possible to enjoy mushroom-based culinary specialities and taste the Amaro Gambarie d'Aspromonte.
