The Spicy Night

From 19 to 21 September 2025, Catanzaro is preparing to host one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year: The Spicy Night. For three days, the city's historic centre, pedestrianised and enveloped in a medieval atmosphere, will be transformed into a lively stage of sounds, colours and flavours, offering visitors a unique experience celebrating Calabrian culture, history and traditions.

The Spicy Night is much more than just a festival: it is a sensory journey of shows, concerts, cabaret, guided tours and visits to museums and churches, which will remain open all night long. Every corner of Catanzaro, from evocative alleys to animated squares, will offer opportunities to discover the city's rich historical and cultural heritage. There will also be immersive experiences in underground tunnels, open theatres, interesting talks, and show-cooking that will allow visitors to get in touch with local gastronomy.

Against this festive backdrop, tourists will be able to savour traditional Catanzaro dishes, such as the famous Morzeddhru, Tiana, Pitta ‘Nchiusa and Pizza Calabrese, all enriched by a summery, red-coloured atmosphere. An event that brings with it not only the possibility of savouring culinary delicacies, but also of experiencing Calabrian hospitality and immersing oneself in the city's traditions.
