A journey through archaeology and tradition in San Sosti

On Friday 4 April 2025, the Archaeological Museum and Park of San Sosti opens its doors to Calabria's schools for the eighth edition of ‘’Meet the History‘’, a day entirely dedicated to the discovery of the past through immersive experiences and interactive workshops.
The morning will start at 9.30 a.m. at the Multimedia Archaeological Museum of San Sosti, with the projection of a docu-video on the area's cultural heritage and a living history experience that will allow participants to come into direct contact with history. This will be followed by a guided tour dedicated to the archaeological parks and castles of the Sibaritide and workshops on lithics, ceramics and ancient coroplastics, as well as an experiential exhibition with period weapons, costumes and musical instruments.
At 11.30 am, in the didactic area of the Fountain of Fra Giovanni, children will be able to try their hand at archery and rediscover the games of antiquity, from tug-of-war to stomachion, for an experience that combines learning and fun.
