One of the most evocative events of the Calabrian summer returns on 12 and 13 August 2025: the Medieval Festival of San Giorgio Morgeto, now in its 17th edition. A journey into the heart of the 14th century to rediscover the era of the barony established by Giovanna d'Angiò around 1350.
For two consecutive evenings, the village is transformed into a veritable historical setting: parades in period costumes, musicians, flag throwers, travelling shows, craft markets and tastings of dishes inspired by medieval cuisine. The inaugural parade passes through the main streets of the historic centre, from Piazza dei Morgeti to the castle area, accompanied by torches, drums and figures recreating the atmosphere of the time.
Along the route, stands and camps enliven the village with scenes of medieval life, demonstrations of ancient crafts, duels between knights and theatrical performances, offering visitors an authentic and engaging immersion in the past.
