Medieval Day

On Sunday 2 March 2025, Le Castella is transformed into a real medieval village with a day full of events for all ages. A unique opportunity to immerse oneself in history with shows, re-enactments and workshops that will revive the charm of a bygone era.

The event, free and open to all, will kick off at 11 a.m. with an enthralling programme:

• Knight's investiture ceremony and spectacular historical fights
• Guided tour of the castle with demonstrations of tinkering and the use of weapons and armour from the 13th to the 16th century
• Experimental archaeology workshops, exhibition of medieval weapons and armour and representation of the story of Uluc Alì (Uccialì), the young man from Le Castella who became an Ottoman admiral
