Discover Pélagos, the Sea Museum of Isola Capo Rizzuto, in the province of Crotone on the Costa dei Saraceni. An interactive journey through marine biodiversity, history and protection, discovering one of Italy's largest Marine Protected Areas. The name, Pélagos, derives from the Greek word πέλαγος, meaning “open sea” or “high sea”. Pélagos - Capo Rizzuto Sea Museum is a multifunctional and interactive place designed to promote sustainable tourism and disseminate knowledge of the archaeological, geological and biological specificities of the Marine Protected Area.
Designed in accordance with the criteria of energy and landscape sustainability, close to the dock that offers tourist services to those who dock in Le Castella, the museum consists of a multimedia room and a surprising “Permanent Exhibition Centre” that combines information panels and advanced interactive technologies.
