Francesco Procopio and Giancarlo Ratti stage an intense comedy, set in the 1950s, that recounts the transformations of post-war Italy with irony and depth: Grisù, Giuseppe e Maria.

In the Italian province of Pozzuoli, Don Ciro, the village parish priest, finds himself at the centre of an intertwined affair of loves, secrets and confessions. Between two clashing sisters and a village pharmacist, a story unfolds that combines lightness and reflection, with the tragic Marcinelle disaster, which marked the history of Italian emigration, in the background.
