On 26 and 27 September 2025, Pizzo will become the stage for the first Festival of Thought, promoted by the Cenacolo degli Inquieti. This new event combines poetry, philosophy and popular traditions, focusing on a highly topical theme: 'Man and Technology'.
The programme kicks off on Friday 26 September on the terraces of Murat Castle, with two events combining art and tradition: at 6 pm, 'Poetry as an antidote to the impositions of technology', a recitation of verses and thoughts; at 8 p.m., 'The Calabrian Tarantella: ancient language of courtship, rhythm and challenge', a tarantella lesson for beginners by maestro Silvano Monteleone.
On Saturday 27 September, the festival moves to the Palazzo della Cultura: at 6 p.m., 'The Children of Prometheus', a conversation with Domenico Rosaci from the Mediterranean University; at 8 p.m., 'The Deception of Tecne - Recited Reflections on the Idea of Progress' by the Graecalis Association, which will stage a moment of theatre and thought.
