Dependent mother - My daughter is 90 years old

An intimate, authentic and surprisingly light tale on a delicate and deeply human topic: care. On Thursday 22 May 2025, at 8.30 p.m., the UNICAL Auditorium Theatre (TAU) will host the show "Dependent mother - My daughter is 90 years old", written and performed by Gianna Coletti.

Inspired by the book of the same name published by Einaudi and enriched by video fragments taken from the film ‘’Tra cinque minuti in scena‘’ by Laura Chiossone, the show traverses with irony, emotion and sincerity the experience of a daughter grappling with her mother's ageing. A touching and universal narration, capable of making people smile and reflect, in which many people - especially women - can recognise themselves.

‘’Dependent mother‘’ is a tribute to those who every day face the role of caregiver, often invisible but indispensable, and is also an invitation to feel less alone in a journey made up of love, fatigue and difficult choices.
