A new version of ‘Forza Venite Gente’ is back on stage, an opera that, while remaining faithful to the original in terms of plot, content and musical score, is renewed thanks to modern technologies and a high quality staging.
The show, which focuses on the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Italy, explores universal themes such as the values of everyday life and the emotions that animate it. One of the most intense aspects of the performance concerns the relationship between fathers and sons, a bond often marked by divergent expectations and clashing values, but which is present in every era and culture, with no need for specific historical references.
