Amendolara between history and Byzantine heritage: a cultural itinerary for everyone

On Sunday 28 September 2025, Amendolara will be the protagonist of the European Heritage Days 2025, a cultural initiative promoted by the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Culture, which this year celebrates the theme 'Accessible Heritage'. The event is part of the international Byzantine Route, dedicated to promoting the Byzantine heritage of art, architecture, manuscripts, icons, rituals and local traditions.
The programme, starting at 9:00 am, includes guided tours of historical and religious sites of great value:
- Church of the Annunciation
- Church of St. Mary
The National Archaeological Museum of Amendolara will be open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of the area.
