Vincenzo Laviola Museum

The Museum of Amendolara was founded in 1992 and it is dedicated to Dr. Vincenzo Laviola, scholar and lover of antiquity, committed to the preservation of historical and archaeological heritage of his homeland. The collection consists mainly of metal and ceramic finds, fragments of the record period (XII-VIII centuries BC). To enrich the core, the finds from the excavations carried out at the end of the sixties by Juliette de la Genière, who unearthed the burial grounds of the resort of Paladino and Mangosa. The Museum goes through the various stages of use of the site, from the indigenous civilization of the Bronze Age, to the advent of the Greeks.
