Beauty saves the environment, charity auction of works of art. On 17 February 2024, the Logos&Polis association chaired by Iolanda Baretta organised a solidarity initiative at the Riva Restaurant Lounge Bar, a well-known venue in Falerna Marina; the initiative aims to raise funds for the purchase of professional equipment suitable for beach cleaning.

During the charity evening, several works of art will be auctioned off, donated by well-known artists who have demonstrated sensitivity and unconditional love for their fellow man and for the protection of the territory. The artists who will donate their works for the charity auction are: Gerardo Sacco, Maurizio Carnevali, Giovanna Rocca, Angelo Accardi, Sonia Bellezza, Antonino Denami, Mara Leone.

"Our association is particularly attentive to environmental issues; in fact, in past years we have devised and implemented several ecological days to clean up our abandoned lidos, also in collaboration with other environmental associations active in the area. From this systematic experience, we came up with the idea of making a qualitative leap forward in solving a problem that has plagued our territory for decades: we are talking about the environmental pollution and degradation that have been afflicting our beaches for too long".

This is what President Baretta is keen to emphasise: "Only beauty can save the world. Unspoilt natural landscapes; the pleasure of strolling in clean and tidy streets; a beautiful square adorned with plants and flowers and with plenty of benches to encourage people to meet and socialise. Rediscovering the importance of all this means educating the younger generations in the sense of beauty and therefore in the civic sense of active and responsible citizens," urges the association's president. "Only in this way can the culture of respect for nature and places take root to combat the degradation of large cities and also of the natural areas surrounding urban centres. The equipment that we will be able to purchase with the proceeds of the charity auction on 17 February" concludes Iolanda Baretta, "will be shared with the other environmental associations in the area. Only together, driven by high common goals, will we be able to realise the dream of reviving the beauty in what surrounds us".
