Safe Mountain Conference
Prevention, awareness and responsibility for enjoying the mountains safely

Congress-Conference
The mountains are about experience, discovery and freedom, but they also require knowledge, respect and preparation. It is in this spirit that the second Safe Mountains Conference will be held on Friday 27 February 2026 at the A. Croccia Auditorium in Frascineto, in the heart of the Pollino National Park.
The meeting aims to promote a shared culture of safety in the mountain environment, focusing on the value of prevention as a fundamental tool for experiencing the mountains in a responsible and conscious manner. This is an increasingly topical issue in a context where outdoor tourism and nature activities are constantly growing.
The conference will feature contributions from professionals, institutions and specialised operators, including Habitus Fisio Benessere, the Pollino National Park Authority, GAL Cittadella del Sapere, the municipalities of Civita and Frascineto, the Civil Protection Agency, the Official Park Guides, the Alpine Rescue Service of the Guardia di Finanza and the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps.
Through direct discussion and the sharing of experiences, the initiative aims to raise awareness of the risks, disseminate good practices and promote information as the primary ally of those who frequent the mountains, whether for pleasure or work.
