Ancient Greek and Roman Theater

Until 31 January 2026, the premises of the Senocrito Academy of Music and Art in Locri will host the exhibition ''Ancient Greek and Roman Theatre'', which is dedicated to the origins of Western theatre and its founding models. This initiative is one of the activities promoted by Teatri Calabresi Associati and is curated by artistic director Domenico Pantano.

The exhibition offers an in-depth look at the main elements of Greek and Roman theater, emphasising the enduring forms, functions, and meanings that continue to influence contemporary theatrical language. Visual materials and explanatory notes accompany visitors on a journey through history, culture, and performance.

The exhibition is aimed at a wide audience, including theatre enthusiasts, students, and visitors interested in classical culture. It enriches the cultural offering of the city of Locri, enhancing the exhibition spaces as places of knowledge and dissemination.
