Park

The Municipal Villa "Carlo Ruggiero" was recognized as "National Monument of Historical Interest-Nature". It is a botanical garden of approximately 2.5 hectares, which is home to many rare plant species and is unique in Italy. Thanks to the particular soil conditions, and typical plants of the Mediterranean vegetation, there are many exotic plants (Sequoias of California, Cedars of Lebanon, Trees Tulip, etc.). It was built at the expense of Carlo Ruggiero and donated to the city in 1880, during his tenure as mayor. The project was by Swiss Henry Fehr.
