A day at the Dinosaur Park in Calabria

Here, surrounded by greenery and enveloped in an atmosphere where time seems to be suspended, you are welcomed by "The World of Prehistory", a park dedicated to dinosaurs and other creatures that populated the earth millions of years ago.

"The World of Prehistory" Theme Park

Just like in the film Jurassic Park, you move cautiously through the vegetation to catch a glimpse of tyrannosaurs and velociraptors, listen to their powerful cries, get close to observe them and discover their characteristics.

The theme park "The World of Prehistory" offers visitors a unique experience, as it realistically reconstructs the natural environment of millions of years ago through life-size reproductions of various prehistoric species. A fun but also educational adventure, which brings children closer to the fascinating history of the evolution of living beings on earth.

The attractions of the Dinosaur Park

The Jurassic discovery trail takes about an hour. As many as 93 species of prehistoric animals that lived in water and 54 that lived in the terrestrial environment are preserved in the park.

You can observe the various stages of living beings on earth, from primordial life forms to the appearance of man. Children and youngsters can then improvise as palaeontologists in the excavation area and satisfy their every curiosity in the pavilion, which houses minerals, fossils and microfossils to be observed under a microscope. After studying, the fun continues on the ‘dino cars’, the motorised toy cars, or by riding the animatronic dinosaur.

The Dinosaur Park is designed to accommodate groups and families and is equipped with a picnic area, a bar, a souvenir shop, fountains and changing facilities.
