Hike among the Giants of Sila and wine tasting
Trekking and high altitude wines: a journey through nature and tradition

Nature
Food and Wine
The nature immersion experience starts with a guided trekking excursion from Camigliatello Silano. The trail winds through forests of larch pines, beeches, maples and other endemic species, offering a spectacle of biodiversity in the heart of the Sila National Park.
The trail leads to the Giants of the Sila Reserve, an ancient forest with 58 imposing specimens of larìcio pine over a hundred years old, guarded by the FAI - Italian Environmental Fund. The visit takes place along a ring-route of about 1 km, allowing you to discover one of the Sila plateau's most fascinating natural treasures.
At the end of the excursion, the journey continues by minivan to Cava di Melis, where the highest vineyard in Europe is located. Here, at an altitude of more than 1,200 metres, heroic viticulture is practised that enhances the resources of the area while respecting the environment and biodiversity. The visit includes a walk through the rows of vines and a tasting of mountain wines, accompanied by typical local products.
