Family Trek, nature for everyone

If you are travelling near the Pollino National Park and are looking for a break immersed in nature, the Belvedere del Malvento is the ideal destination for a unique and evocative excursion.

This viewpoint, one of the most fascinating destinations in the Pollino National Park, is located near Mount Timpa di Capanne and Serra del Prete. It can be easily reached by crossing Piano Ruggio and following a path that winds through centuries-old beech woods, offering a fairytale landscape.

From the top, it is possible to admire the Castrovillari plain and the peaks of the Orsomarso mountains, with a view that also includes the famous loricate pines, symbol of the park.

This trek, suitable for everyone, starts from Piano di Ruggio and leads to the Belvedere del Malvento, a vantage point from which splendid specimens of loricate pine can be seen. Along the way, an unmissable stop is a visit to the majestic Faggio delle Sei Sorelle beech tree.

During the hike, participants will walk through forests and natural landscapes, exploring the local flora and fauna. A perfect opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of the park and learn to recognise the signs of nature.
