Nature

Proposed by Falconieri dei Setteventi

Modernity, urbanisation and digitalisation have progressively distanced society from nature, agriculture and animal husbandry, creating a cultural gap in these areas. To bridge this gap, educational farms offer engaging learning experiences that are essential for students of all ages.

The activities begin with a guided tour of the farm, followed by a presentation of production and environmental issues, and then continue with open-air educational workshops. The educational offerings are wide-ranging and include milk and cheese production, wheat harvesting and flour processing, beekeeping and honey production, as well as tree, medicinal plant and wildlife identification courses.

At Setteventi, we design interactive and experiential educational courses for all age groups, both at our premises and at partner farms. Experiential education allows learning through action and concrete experimentation, involving participants on a cognitive, emotional and sensory level.

With experienced and qualified environmental guides, we help schools and families explore the area through guided tours, hikes, treasure hunts, workshops and educational stays, to offer an authentic growth experience.

Nature is a teacher of life, thought and discipline. Being outdoors stimulates curiosity, encourages observation and spontaneous learning, turning the natural world into a real open-air book. Walking slowly, observing details, asking questions and seeking answers develops scientific, linguistic, logical and historical skills in a stimulating and authentic environment.

Our team of official and federal guides, in cooperation with teachers, develops customised teaching programmes for every school level. We offer an innovative approach that combines environmental education and recreational activities, with the aim of bringing young people closer to nature and the agricultural world, teaching them to respect them with enthusiasm and awareness.

Thanks to the collaboration with the FISO (Italian Federation of Sport Orienteering), recognised by CONI and sponsored by MIUR, and with the AIGAE (Italian Association of Environmental Hiking Guides) guides, our educational proposal also integrates training on safety in the outdoors, from school to forest.

*For school groups, bookings for preferred dates should be made well in advance to ensure availability and better plan the activity.
