A not-to-be-missed excursion in the Pollino Park, among the majestic Loricate Pines, real living fossils at an altitude of more than 2,000 metres, and the centuries-old woods leading to the suggestive Garden of the Gods, near Serra di Crispo.
Accompanied by an expert guide, you will discover the stories of Uncle Peppe and the brigands who once crossed these paths. In a unique natural environment of imposing beech trees, springs and breathtaking views, you can become a Natural Tracker and, with a bit of luck, spot roe deer, squirrels or other inhabitants of the forest.
The hike starts at the Shrine of the Madonna del Pollino and runs along ancient paths through unspoilt nature and extraordinary views.
Useful advice
- Recommended clothing: high mountain clothing, boots, windbreaker, sunglasses, heavy jumper, hat or bandana.
- What to pack: windbreaker, heavy jumper, packed lunch, dried fruit, at least 2 litres of water, sun cream, sunglasses, camera, spare T-shirt.

The briefing with the guide will be held at the Campotenese motorway exit. After a brief presentation and a check of participants' clothing, we will move together, using our own vehicles, to the point where we will park our cars and begin the trek to our destination.
