On 8 February 2026, Laino Castello will host the fifth edition of the Valley Carnival. This event brings together communities from the Mercure Valley for a day dedicated to carnival traditions and collective participation. The event is the result of a collaboration between Pro Loco associations and local municipalities to promote the area's cultural heritage through a shared celebration open to residents and visitors alike.
During the day, Laino Castello's town centre becomes the setting for a festive parade involving masked groups and allegorical floats from various towns in the valley. Activities begin at midday with participants gathering for a welcome and socialising, followed by an afternoon parade through the town's streets. The event concludes with a return to Piazza Primo Maggio, featuring performances by the groups and the presentation of a symbolic award to all participants.
