Theatre and film acting workshop

On 5 and 7 September 2025, the Pellaro Civic Centre will host a theatre and film acting workshop with teachers from the Calabria School of Acting, Walter Cordopatri and Marco Falcomatà.

This training course is designed for those who wish to explore acting techniques, deepening their understanding of the language of theatre and cinema through theoretical and practical lessons. The aim is to develop awareness of the body, voice and stage space, learning how to construct a character and interpret it with authenticity. The programme includes:

• study of the main acting techniques and methods,
• differences between theatre and film acting,
• elements of diction and stage movement,
• approach to screenwriting, set design and directing,
• simulation of a film audition.

The workshop is structured in two modules:

• Module 1 - The actor and film acting (9.5 hours): acting methods, elements of diction, creation of an audiovisual product.
• Module 2 – The actor on stage and theatre acting (5 hours): function of dramaturgy, character construction, interpretation techniques.

• 7 September: 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. / 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
