Come and discover the colours and beauty of ‘’The Narrating Doors Festival‘’, in San Benedetto Ullano (CS), you will see the old doors of the village transformed into true works of art.
‘’The Narrating Doors’‘ festival, restores dignity to the old doors of the historic centre, many of which are part of abandoned buildings, by means of street art. Each door becomes the “canvas’' of a colourful narrative representing the history, life and traditions typical of San Benedetto Ullano, a village of Italo-Albanian (arbëreshë) origins.
This year, ‘The Narrating Doors Festival’, takes place from 9 to 11 August, in the heart of the historic centre, and as always offers a series of side events that accompany the creative moment in the company of the street artists.
From being a simple event, ‘The Narrating Doors Festival’ is now an open-air ecomuseum, to which the Municipality of San Benedetto Ullano has decided to entrust the story of its Arbëreshë identity: Byzantine exploits and treasures, countesses and proud Albanian warriors, according to a community and sustainable tourism project.
