Every year, on the night of Good Friday, the village of Cropani lights up with devotion with the Procession of the Naca, an ancient tradition that passes through the historic centre in an atmosphere of meditation and spirituality.
On 18 April 2025, the streets of the village will be transformed into an evocative path of faith, accompanied by the solemn sound of funeral marches and the flickering light of torches. At the centre of the procession, the Naca, an ancient, finely decorated sedan-chair, will carry the dead Christ, followed by the faithful and confraternities in a procession rooted in the centuries.
One of the most moving moments is the passage of the barefoot penitent carrying the cross, a symbol of sacrifice and deep spirituality. A gesture that tells the essence of this celebration, capable of uniting the community in a dimension of recollection and memory.
