The illusion of freedom

Lamezia Terme will have the honour of hosting the famous philosopher Umberto Galimberti with his fascinating meeting L'illusione della libertà. A unique opportunity to reflect on a concept that has always marked our history: freedom. According to Galimberti, freedom does not exist as an absolute concept, but rather it is the idea of freedom that has played a fundamental role over the centuries.

The philosopher will explore the theme of freedom, inviting the audience to reflect on the importance of questioning the ideas that define it, to avoid the risk of becoming mere mental habits. Freedom, in fact, is not a gift given by science, but is the result of a continuous exercise of thought, which must be cultivated from an early age in order to be able to compare our ideas and discover whether they are really well-founded.
