Saturday 8 November 2025 marks the return of the Bergamot Train, the railway journey to discover Reggio Calabria's famous citrus fruit. This year, thanks to the collaboration with Pro Loco di Brancaleone APS and Kalabria Experience, the tour will stop for the first time in the charming village of Bruzzano Vecchio, abandoned between 1905 and 1908 after the devastating earthquakes that struck the lower Reggio area.

The day will begin at Colture Agrumicole di Micó Giuseppe, a leading bergamot processing company, where it will be possible to taste some of the local specialities. In Bruzzano Vecchio, accompanied by experts from Kalabria Experience, participants will visit the Triumphal Arch, erected in the 17th century and dedicated to the Carafa Princes of Roccella Ionica, and the ruins of the Rocca Armenia castle, exploring the ancient heart of the village.

In the afternoon, the tour will continue to Brancaleone Marina, with the evocative Pavesiano Trail, which ends at the Dimora del Confino, where the Piedmontese writer lived between 1935 and 1936.

Departures are scheduled from Catanzaro Lido and Reggio Calabria Centrale, with intermediate stops, aboard the ultra-modern HTR 412 hybrid trains, for a comfortable and immersive travel experience surrounded by nature, history and culture.
