Symphonic Opera Season at the Politeama Theatre

The Politeama Theatre in Catanzaro, in collaboration with the Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria, presents the 2025 Lyric-Symphonic Season, a musical journey through the masterpieces of classical music and opera.

  Sollima plays Beethoven
  Starring cellist Giovanni Sollima, accompanied by Clarissa Bevilacqua's violin and Carlotta Maestrini's piano, under the direction of Filippo Arlia.
• Wednesday 30 April 2025, 9 p.m.
  Orfeo by Claudio Monteverdi
  A musical re-elaboration by Mario Tronco, with the Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria conducted by Filippo Arlia and directed by Mario Tronco.
• Friday 23 May 2025, 9 p.m.
  Double Concert for Violin and Viola
  With violinist soloist Maria Solozobova, violist Hyejin Lim and conducted by Felipe Tristan.
• Friday 30 May 2025, 9 p.m.
  Aida by Giuseppe Verdi
  One of the best-loved operas, in four acts, with the Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria and the Coro Lirico Siciliano. Musical direction by Filippo Arlia and direction by Enrico Stinchelli.
