Sybaris and the mouth of the Crati River

One of the most eagerly awaited events for nature lovers and those who enjoy exploring the local area at a leisurely pace is back in summer 2025: the Laghi di Sibari Association, in collaboration with the AIGAE Environmental Excursion Guides, presents the 7th edition of the “Discovering Crati”, a series of walks designed to involve everyone — from hiking enthusiasts to the simply curious, from families to travellers in search of authenticity.

Four events to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace along the trails that embrace Sybaris and the picturesque mouth of the Crati River, among unspoilt landscapes, sea views, corners of biodiversity and stories that intertwine nature, history and legend.

Each outing, approximately 2.5 km long, will be accompanied by moments of environmental interpretation, to learn more about the territory and its ecosystems, and by short stops that invite observation, listening and wonder.
