The Catholic Museum of Stilo (RC) will open its doors on Sunday, 6 July 2025, for an event promoted by the Ministry of Culture – Regional Directorate of Museums of Calabria, as part of the Call for Educational Services in Cultural Sites.
From 11:00 to 13:00 and from 16:30 to 19:30, the public will be able to immerse themselves in the thousand-year history of Stilo thanks to two main activities: an engaging living history on the daily life of Byzantine monks and storytelling dedicated to Fra' Tommaso Campanella, a historical figure and symbol of the city's identity
The initiative aims to strengthen the link between Stilo's cultural heritage and the community, offering an educational and exciting experience for families, tourists and history enthusiasts. Through live performances and passionate storytelling, it will be possible to discover the roots of Stilo, from the Byzantine monastery to the ideas and deeds of Campanella.
The event is free, with access included in the museum entrance ticket.
