In the heart of the Pollino National Park, Mormanno is preparing to welcome spring with a long weekend of events celebrating the territory, traditions and conviviality. From Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 April 2025, the village will be transformed into a diffuse stage where nature, culture, music and flavours come together.
It starts with outdoor activities, such as Pollino Orienteering and the XXX Coppa dei Paesi Latini, to explore the mountain landscapes in a dynamic and engaging way, thanks also to the participation of Slow Food and GAL Pollino.
One of the most eagerly awaited appointments is the short film "Red Gold", scheduled for Friday 25 April at 6.30 p.m. at the Galleria D'Alessandro: a powerful visual tale on the identity of ‘Perciavutti’, with the narrating voice of Giorgio Borghetti, signed by directors Marinella Rotondaro and Marianna Sartori.
There will be no shortage of musical moments: Cecè Barretta will bring his energy on 25 April at 21:00 in Piazzale Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa, while the band Khatmandu will revive the atmosphere of Rino Gaetano with a tribute concert in Piazza Umberto I on Saturday 26 April at 21:30.
For those who love authentic flavours, gastronomic excellence will be the protagonist on Saturday 26 April with a conference dedicated to Mormanno's cured meats at Galleria D'Alessandro at 6.30 p.m., followed by a tasting by the Coinas and Del Colle charcuterie factories, accompanied by wines from the Azienda Celimarro.
Grand finale on Sunday 27 April at 11.00 a.m. with the National Palio delle Botti: an exciting challenge between teams from all over Italy that will animate the streets of the village with a competition of strength and skill, in an atmosphere of popular celebration and team spirit.
