Sciabaca Festival

From Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 September 2024, Soveria Mannelli, in the heart of Monte Reventino, will host the ninth edition of Sciabaca, the festival dedicated to Mediterranean travels and cultures.

The event will be opened by writer and literary critic Massimo Onofri, who will present his book Isolitudini. Per un atlante letterario delle isole e dei mari. On Saturday 21 September, it will be the turn of the traditional 13.5 km hike, which will coincide with the opening of the Path of Stories, a ring-route around Soveria Mannelli, led by writer and walker Francesco Bevilacqua. The festival will end on Sunday 22 September with the inauguration of the third cycle of works in Parco Carta, the contemporary art park opened by Rubbettino. This year the collection will be enriched with Telaio by Andrea Canepa and Il mistero della giostra miniata by Simone Carraro, works curated by artists Alessandro Fonte and Shawnette Poe.
