Sangineto, place of the Soul

On 24 and 25 January 2025, Sangineto is transformed into a place where tradition, culture and roots intertwine to offer two unforgettable days. A special occasion to rediscover the essence of the territory and immerse oneself in the authentic beauty of Calabria.

The programme starts on Friday 24 January at 7 p.m. with the evocative concert of the Banda ‘del Corno’ of Fuscaldo, which will be held in the splendid setting of the Chiesa S. Maria della Neve, for a musical performance that will warm the hearts.

On Saturday 25 January, starting at 5 p.m., the photographic exhibition ‘Come eravamo... momenti di un tempo’ (How we were... moments from the past) will be inaugurated at the Old Town Hall, a veritable journey through memory that recounts the history and traditions of Sangineto through images from the past. At 6 p.m., we move to Piazza Caduti, where it will be possible to taste the authentic flavours of the cuisine of the past: crispelle, fried spisa and polenta sanginitese, prepared with passion by ‘I Cantaturi i Sanginitu’ and accompanied by participants in typical costumes who will bring back the atmosphere of the past. The evening will end with an enthralling folk concert.
