Art Exhibit
Regione Calabria
Reggio Calabria hosts one of the most eagerly awaited exhibitions of the year, Pop to Street Art: Influences, which opened its doors to the public on 20 July and will be open until 3 November 2024.
The exhibition is an exclusive first for the city and offers a fascinating confrontation with artists who have marked the history of contemporary art. More than 170 works, including drawings, posters, lithographs, paintings, sculptures and silkscreens, trace a path that explores the artistic evolution and influence of Pop Art on Street Art. Among the many famous works, visitors will be able to admire Andy Warhol's Campbell soup cans and portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Keith Haring's drawings for the New York underground and reproductions of Banksy's revolutionary contributions to street art.
