Polistena Carnival

Polistena is preparing to experience one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year with the return of the Polistena Carnival, scheduled for Sunday 15 and Tuesday 17 February 2026. This event is the result of the shared commitment of associations, schools and volunteers, who have been working for weeks to create allegorical floats and initiatives that will give the city two days of celebration, participation and joy.

The programme kicks off on Sunday 15 February at 2.30 p.m., with the parade of allegorical floats starting from Via Catena. The parade will reach Piazza della Repubblica, where the floats will gather at 5 p.m., accompanied by a show by the Diana Academy, featuring music and entertainment.

The Carnival continues on Tuesday 17 February, once again starting at 2.30 pm from Via Catena for a new parade of allegorical floats. The arrival in Piazza della Repubblica is scheduled for 5.30 pm, with a show by the Il Discobolo Dance Centre. This will be followed by the award ceremony for the three most beautiful masks, a moment dedicated to the creativity and participation of the little ones.
