Paesi Tuoi Festival

The Paesi Tuoi Festival will take place in Brancaleone from 3 to 5 August 2024, an idea born out of passion, curiosity and enthusiasm to get to know and be known. The idea that animates the festival is to explore and deepen the territory of Brancaleone and its surroundings, through the wonders that characterise it and the people who animate it, in order to make it a vehicle for culture, knowledge and openness towards others. The artistic direction is by Livia Condemi.

The basic idea that animates the festival is to give life to a stimulating all-round cultural exchange that can be a vehicle for culture, knowledge and openness towards the other, while at the same time giving greater visibility to a territory characterised by strong potential that is still not fully expressed despite its beauty and the richness of its cultural heritage. The name ‘Paesi Tuoi Festival’ in fact stems from this interweaving of ideas and intentions, from the desire to put the very town of Brancaleone and the places that belong to it at the centre of the dialogue, which belongs to those who live and experience it, in all its forms. The explicit reference to the title of Cesare Pavese's first novel, ‘Paesi tuoi’ published in 1941, is intended to underline the memory of the famous intellectual who spent the months of his exile in Brancaleone, between August 1935 and March 1936.

The first edition of the ‘Paesi Tuoi Festival’ will focus on travel declined in its various forms. In fact, the journey is an instrument of discovery but also an opportunity for change, not always voluntary.
