The third edition of "Ormeggi - Literary Festival" will be held again this year at the Chiostro-Caffè Letterario in Lamezia Terme from 23 to 26 May 2024.
Below is the programme, also available at www.ormeggifestival.it
Thursday 23 May
Ribbon-cutting ceremony and presentation of the calendar of events to be followed by ‘Sogna ragazzo sogna’, in which the students of the Liceo Classico ‘F. Fiorentino’ of Lamezia interpret Roberto Vecchioni's famous song in ancient Greek, and ‘Centenni di Franco Basaglia’, an advocate of the battle for the closure of mental asylums, a reading recalling Basaglia on the centenary of his birth.
Friday 24 May
5.45 p.m. Ciro Giustiniani will present ‘Kitemmorto...Ascoltando Napoli’ Rogiosi Editore. A journey through the Neapolitan language and its most colourful expressions tackled with lightness and a lot of irony. In the final part Giustiniani will propose some of the most famous skech from his repertoire. Moderated by Paolo Giura.
7.15 pm- Valentina Mastroianni will propose ‘La storia di Cesare-scegliere a occhi chiusi la felicità’. Published by De Agostini. Passionate, moving and incredibly true, La storia di Cesare is a story of strength, resilience, courage and, above all, love in its purest forms: that of a mother for her son and of a child for life. Moderator: Rita Giura.
8.45 p.m. - Marco ‘Baz’ Bazzoni and his ‘Con le infradito in discesa’. Mondadori Electa. Friendly, stubborn, exuberant: Marco is a successful radio speaker, allergic to monogamy, faithful only to his beloved motorbike. He would never have imagined that he himself would fall in love, and moreover with a girl who prefers tofu to carbonara and detests comedians. Moderator: Paolo Giura.
10.00 p.m. - Cantastory vol. 1, a concert paying homage to Italian singer-songwriter music. Muses Voices and Friends.
Saturday 25 May
5.45 p.m. - Sabrina Paravicini will present her book ‘Until here all is well - a difficult but extraordinary journey’. Sperling & Kuffer. In a delicate, lively, sincere and courageous voice, Sabrina recounts everything she has faced in a year and a half of therapy, never hiding her pain but always leaving the door open to hope. Moderated by Annalisa Spinelli with readings by Emanuela Stella.
7.15 p.m. - Saverio Tommasi will be present with ‘Troppo Neri’. Feltrinelli. Immigration told through the many faces and the many people. Moderated by Maria Federica Ruberto and Paolo Giura.
8.45pm - Valentina Dallari will present ‘Uroboro - viaggio eterno nelle crepe dell'anima’. Piemme Editore. With her book, Dallari succeeds in capturing, deep down, an intimate and ineradicable fragility that can be transformed into conscious strength, into a viaticum for living while always remaining oneself. Roberta Vezio and Rita Giura will moderate.
10.00 p.m. - Cantastory vol. 2, a concert paying homage to Italian singer-songwriter music. Muses Voices and Friends.
Sunday 26 May
5.45 p.m. - Chiara Ingrosso will be in Ormeggi with ‘La regola di Nora’. SEM publisher. Experimenting with the unprecedented interweaving of dark comedy and true crime, ‘La regola di Nora’ reconstructs one of the most inexplicable news cases of recent years: the double murder of Daniele De Santis and Eleonora Manta. Moderator: Guglielmo Mastroianni.
7.15 p.m. - Marzia Sicignano presents ‘Dove si nascondono le lacrime’. Mondadori. A love in which everything is mixed: black and white, the acceptance of an embrace and the glances of warning, defeat and victory, jealousy and uniqueness. Moderated by Daniela Grandinetti with the participation of Paola Cefalà, Vlady Hlach and Mariagrazia Anastasi.
8.45 p.m. - Ludovico Tersigni will present the latest book in the fourth edition of Ormeggi, ‘Ci vediamo oltre l'orizzonte’. Rizzoli. When life calls, the heart answers. Impossible, however, to heed this call when one is bottled up in an overly frenetic existence that has sacrificed friendships and passions by giving body and soul to the London of high finance. Moderator: Daniela Grandinetti.
As in previous years, the Festival will host the ‘Book Fair’ to provide space and expand the cultural offering and allow publishers to have a location to bring their production to the fore. In addition, there will be the Artists' Fair, a space in which artists exhibit their art (and sell it). The first confirmations, namely Giurot (digital artist), ‘La Faccia della Luna’ (illustrator), ‘Stanze Vuote’ (self-taught goldsmith), ‘Armonia Store and Pinap fatto a Mano’ (handicrafts with crochet), ‘Carmelina’ (handicrafts with recycled materials) will be followed by others before the ribbon-cutting ceremony on 23 May.
All events are free of charge.
