Musicalidis Festival

The Musicalidus Festival proposes a journey through the panorama of Calabrian folk music and contaminations, rediscovering, enhancing and exploring themes that are always new and original but firmly anchored in tradition. M° Markku Lepisto, the world-famous accordion player, accompanied by the folk orchestra will bring to the surface the typical sounds of popular and traditional instruments. Singer Silvia Mezzanotte accompanied by traditional instruments such as the bandonèon and Calabrian musicians such as the well-known conductor Filippo Arlia. The 'pianofortissimo' piano recital held by the masters of the "P. I. Tchaikovsky" State Conservatory of Music in Catanzaro. The "World Diatonic Contest", an international diatonic accordion competition that will see Italy's best accordion players compete against each other. In order to bring young people closer to traditional music, in addition to a purely concert part, Musicalidus Festival will host a music training campus, for accordion, accordion, pop and traditional singing, piano and ethnomusicology classes. A festival that aims to become a point of reference for traditional music and a prestigious showcase for Fuscaldo in the world music scene.
