Magnificent Presence

Ferzan Ozpetek returns to the stage with a new theatrical production that promises to enchant audiences: after the great success of Mine vaganti, the director signs the stage adaptation of Magnifica Presenza, one of his cinematic masterpieces.

The story tells of Pietro, a young boy from Catania with a dream of becoming an actor, who moves to Rome. However, his new life takes an unexpected turn when he begins to see strange presences in his home: a bizarre theatre company of ‘ghosts’, with whom Pietro establishes a surprising bond of friendship. Pietro's cousin tries to help him, convinced that they are hallucinations, but the boy decides to discover the truth, trying to understand the motivations that keep these spirits in the present. A journey through emotions, mysteries and laughter, exploring the boundary between reality and fantasy.
