Kalipè
Two days of excursions, meetings, music and nature in Monterosso Calabro

Guided Tour
On 26 and 27 July 2025, Monterosso Calabro will host a new edition of Kalipè, the event promoted by Kalabria Trekking to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Kalabria Coast to Coast Trail, one of Italy's most evocative hiking trails, listed by Time magazine as one of the 50 must-see destinations in the world.
A weekend dedicated to slow walking, meeting people, culture and discovering the Calabrian mountains. The village overlooking Lake Angitola is transformed into a stage spread across squares, woods and paths, with a programme that combines themed talks, concerts, excursions, show cooking, readings in the countryside and screenings.
Kalipè, which in the Himalayan language means “short, slow steps”, is much more than an event: it is a way of experiencing the area with awareness, rediscovering the value of walking together and the beauty that can be found along the way.
Saturday 26 July – Piazza Luigi Razza
- 7 p.m.: Talk “Five years walking between two seas” with institutional representatives, walking experts and well-known faces from Rai Linea Verde Sentieri.
- Followed by: Screening of the documentary film “Storie in Cammino” by Saverio Caracciolo.
- Show cooking and tastings with authentic local flavours.
- 9.30 p.m.: Concert by “Ionian 4et”.
Sunday 27 July – Monterosso Beech Forest
- 9.30 am: Guided excursion on a section of the Kalabria Coast to Coast (6 km, circular route) with the participation of Lino Zani and Giulia Capocchi

- Immersive concert among the trees with the cellos of “Sfracellos”
- 2 p.m.: Lunch in the beech forest with local products
Kalipè 2025 is an invitation to slow down, listen to nature and experience Calabria with new eyes. An opportunity to walk together and rediscover, step by step, the deep soul of this extraordinary land.
