After the success of the concert-event held by singer Francesca Calabrò with her band, which took place last 10 November, Artistic Director Andrea Brissa on Friday 1 December at 9.00 p.m., presents, at the Vecchio Mattatoio venue in Lamezia Terme, in collaboration with the Agimus of Catanzaro, the musical appointments continue with a concert of Soul/Blues music, called ELISA BROWN SOUL STATION, Elisa Brown, Loop and Voice and Simone Stellato Synt & Piano.

ELISA BROWN has repeatedly been called the most soulful voice in Calabria. Her multifaceted voice, capable of ranging from harmonic singing to mix vocals, from scratched black to whistle register, allows her to improvise and interpret each song in her own way, making it unique. She lives each of her concerts as a mystical experience, in which her soul merges with the music to enter and remain in the hearts of her listeners. She has taken part in numerous competitions, always coming out on top, including Premio Mia Martini (2003) and the Tour Music Fest 2008, where she was awarded by Mogol as the best performer out of more than 3000 participants throughout Italy. She participated as a guest on several television networks, and in May 2011 she took part in the programme "Mezzogiorno in Famiglia" on Rai 2, performing with Maestro Mazza's orchestra. Among the important stages she has performed on, collaborating with internationally renowned artists, are the Piper in Rome, the Blue Note in Milan and the Modo in Salerno. Many are the bands with which she has participated in numerous jazz and blues festivals in southern Italy. Through the study of vocal technique, holistic singing and gospel singing, she became the creator of the Soul Singing method with a holistic approach. She continues to study and research connections between the power of the voice and singing and psycho-physical well-being. This is why she spends her time directing various choral projects as artistic and musical director and Holistic Operator (Soul Sighs Gospel Choir, Soul & Joy Gospel Choir) and holds her seminars throughout Italy (Rome, Cagliari, Treviso, Perugia). In 2011, she added songwriting to her baggage, writing her first song "Give Me Some Peace" for American singer Amy Coleman. After years of recording collaborations, in 2018 she recorded the backing vocals for the album Rive Volume1 by Fabio Curto, published and promoted by the historic Fonoprint of Bologna; the track "Mi sento in orbit" features a small solo of hers with scratched vocals. On the occasion of the Calabria Jazz Meeting (2017) organised by the Peperoncino Jazz Festival, she was awarded the 'Marco Tamburini' Character of the Year Award. In May 2019, Elisa Brown was a guest at the Ebenezer Church of God in New York by her friend Bishop Joel Polo Jr. The repertoire will be based on Soul and Blues compositions, music of the soul, which originated in the 1950s from the blending of some elements of jazz music, rhythm & blues with gospel music, from which many soul music performers derived, reaching its peak of popularity in the 1960s. Thanks to soul, black music became a phenomenon known all over the planet, especially with the subsequent 'disco', 'funky' and 'rap' developments from the 1970s onwards. The concert is free of charge but reservations are appreciated.
