Itinerary of Local History and Gastronomy

On Saturday 27 September 2025, Gerace will host the Itinerary of Local History and Gastronomy: a journey that intertwines history, cuisine and local traditions. An experience designed to reveal the authentic soul of Calabria through its typical dishes and the stories that accompany them.

Each stop becomes a taste workshop: the spinning of caciocavallo cheese explained step by step, handmade macaroni with meatballs in sauce or 'mbuttunate' aubergines prepared according to traditional methods, and the typical dessert 'fiavuna', described as in the tradition.
