Ghemelon Art

One of the most popular cultural events in the Catanzaro area returns for the eleventh consecutive year: Midsummer Snapshots, an art exhibition organised by Ghemelon Art, will enliven the streets of the historic centre of Gimigliano with a whole day dedicated to creativity, encounters and participation. Piazza Aldo Moro, Corso America and Via Cantafio will be transformed into a large open-air stage, where art, music, games and words come together in a festive and engaging atmosphere.

The programme opens in the afternoon with the Ghemelon Games, fun activities designed for all ages. This will be followed by the inauguration of the photographic exhibition Dal testo all'immagine (From Text to Image), curated in collaboration with the Ladri di luce association, at Palazzo Mirabelli. There will also be space for literature, with the eagerly awaited meeting with the writer Luigi Rotella, one of the most appreciated voices on the local scene. And then there will be a fascinating moment dedicated to violin making, with the presence of maestro Michele Sangineto, a leading figure on the national scene. From late afternoon, music will take over, with a long line-up of live performances in Piazza Aldo Moro: guests include the band Skapizza, a reference point on the regional scene, and Quelli della Tavernetta, promising young artists from the area. The evening will conclude with the eagerly awaited lottery draw and the presentation of the Ghemelon Art Award, a symbolic moment celebrating talent and dedication to art and culture.
