One of the most eagerly awaited cultural events of the year returns with its 19th edition: the Mediterranean Culture Award, promoted by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Calabria e di Lucania, which celebrates those who – through words, research and action – contribute to building bridges between the shores of the Mediterranean.
The award ceremony will be held on 3 October 2025, in the splendid setting of the “Alfonso Rendano” Theatre in Cosenza, and will be attended by authors, activists, journalists, poets and scholars of international renown.
Divided into eight thematic sections, the Prize has selected the three finalists from over 150 nominations, rewarding their commitment to recounting contemporary challenges: from the protection of rights to scientific dissemination, from information to poetry, from translation to fiction.
Young people also play a central role, with the direct involvement of over 400 students in the Young Fiction section and a Special Prize dedicated to Calabrian or Lucanian personalities who have distinguished themselves for their talent and inspiration.
